Eliana Courtin-Lyon (Terry), Director of Playgroups Unlimited:
Terri has over 20 years experience in teaching children. Ms. Eliana Courtin-Lyon was born in Chile, and has degrees in Education and in Spanish from the Universities of Chile and Miami. She has an extensive record of Early Childhood Education. Eliana has been teaching at preschool and elementary levels in private and public schools and has even developed her own Enrichment program for preschoolers in California. She is now focusing her energies on bringing a comprehensive language center to the San Mateo area.


Suyapa Ramos, Spanish Teacher:
Suyapa Ramos was born and educated in Honduras, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering. She also holds a certificate in graphic design and photography. In Honduras she worked as a tutor for a Spanish language school that taught Spanish to America Peace Corps volunteers. Since coming to California she has been teaching both adults and children who are learning Spanish, from private tutoring to elementary school classrooms. She loves working with children, and her enthusiasm and energy makes the Spanish language very much alive at Universo de Colores!


Nathalie Fabri, French Teacher:
Nathalie's rich background as an artist and pediatric occupational therapy assistant gives children in her class a very sensory approach to learning French. She incorporates art into each and every class, and is sensitive to pre-writing skills in young children. A native speaker, Nathalie immerses your child in a day filled with the French Language. She holds an A.S in Occupational Therapy and a B.A. in Liberal Arts with a Fine Art Concentration. She is also raising a son who is perfectly bilingual.



Professor Daisy Jian is a top educator in both Chinese and English as well as a former principal of two schools in China. Graduating from The China Media University and trained to be an anchor for China National TV, her Mandarin pronunciation is flawless. She has successfully taught Mandarin Chinese to foreign businessmen, hotel managers, diplomats, as well as many younger students. Her teaching methods inspire confidence in her students. In a joyful atmosphere, she can help kids become interested in Chinese and pick up some everyday expressions. Professor Jain's credentials have been verified by the Educational Records Evaluation Service in Sacramento, CA.
